The Ethereum Issuance Forum is an invite-only event to increase transparency and build shared context surrounding Ethereum's issuance policy research.

Hosted by the Ethereum Foundation, the goal of the forum is to surface sector-specific considerations, trade-offs, and open questions, to inform the research process.

The event will span approximately four hours, including breaks for informal conversation and a closing happy hour.

Level-setting Presentation

Researchers will present current context and modeling. This talk will be recorded and published to ensure transparency for the wider community.

Moderated Roundtable

A discussion where all participants have the opportunity to speak and discuss issuance policy considerations. To encourage open dialogue, this portion of the event will not be recorded.

Networking

Informal time to connect with peers and researchers.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an EthCC ticket to attend?

Yes. As the roundtable is hosted within the EthCC venue, a valid conference ticket is required for entry. At minimum an EthCC day ticket is required which can be bought here.

What is the goal of this roundtable?

The primary goal is to build context and reduce uncertainty. We are here to explore and inform, not to vote or finalize a specific policy. The output of this event will be summaries of themes and considerations that help inform the broader research process.

How does registration work?

This is an event with limited capacity (~85 attendees) to ensure productive discussion. The event is on an invitation basis. If you were not invited but would like to attend, please feel free to email issuance@ethereum.org.

Will the session be recorded?

Yes and no. The introductory presentations will be recorded and shared publicly. The roundtable discussion itself will not be recorded to allow participants to speak freely.
